Vandals
cause damage at Burnham-On-Sea internet cafe
Another
shop in Burnham-On-Sea's town centre is this week counting the
cost of crime after being struck by vandals.
The
Link internet cafe in Cross Street had a window smashed, leaving
its angry owner to pick up the repair bill.
It
comes just weeks after the town's Chamber of Trade urged police
to step up patrols in the town centre earlier
this year to combat vandalism against businesses.
Shop
owner Martin Hart, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It
was pointless vandalism that has cost us over £60 to repair.
It is really annoying when this happens."
Wednesday's
incident follows a spate of crime in Burnham town centre during
recent months.
A
card shop suffered
a break-in in February, there was an attempted
robbery in January, and vandals also attacked
a finance firm in late January.
