A
Burnham-On-Sea cul-de-sac whose impressive display of Christmas
lights was featured on national TV last year burst into festive
colour again on Tuesday evening (December 1st) when residents
lit up their homes.
A
large crowd of onlookers watched the eight Trinity Close homes
switch on their decorations and residents celebrated with a Christmas
street party featuring music from local drama group Curtain Call.
The
homes are decorated top to bottom in thousands of lights, including
some low-energy bulbs, which last year gained national media attention
on GMTV.
The
lights are on display throughout the festive season from 4pm each
night until January 6th. Thousands of pounds are raised for charity
each year with this year's collection being for BARB and PETAL,
The Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust.
Trinity
Close's Paula Payne told Burnham-On-Sea.com at Tuesday's switch-on:
"It's our best ever display this year, with several new quality
illuminations on show. We hope to see lots of people over the
festive period and raise a good sum for charity."
