Heave ho! Tug-of-war hauls in funds for Burnham-On-Sea charities

Hundreds of pounds was raised for two good causes during a fundraising tug-of-war in Brent Knoll, near Burnham-On-Sea, on Bank Holiday Monday (May 25th).

Seven teams tried to out-pull each other during the event at the Brent Knoll Inn. It was held to raise funs for the Somerset Air Ambulance and Burnham rescue charity BARB.

Organiser and landlord John Smith told "It was a very well supported afternoon, with teams from Wedmore, Highbridge Young Farmers, Burnham Rugby Club and BARB taking part. We'll definitely be holding a second event next year."
