Weather hits number of entries at annual Watchfield Flower Show

-

Strong winds and heavy rain during recent days reduced the number of entries at the annual Watchfield Flower and Vegetable Show, held near Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (September 5th).

The event, now in its 23rd year, attracted 240 entries which was well down on previous years.

“The number of entries in the flower and vegetable classes was below recent years due to the poor weather over the past week,” one of the event’s organisers, Keith Whitting, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“But there has been good support from local people in other classes and we had a good range of entries.”
