Burnham-On-Sea water skier is crowned British Champion

Proud Burnham-On-Sea water skier Toby Duggan is celebrating this
week after winning the title of British Champion... for the third
year running!
Toby,
13, was handed this huge trophy after winning the latest round
of the British Championships in Weston-super-Mare on Saturday.
He
has won five out of five races in the British Championships this
season, making him the UK's top water skier in his age group.
Toby,
who is often seen training in Bridgwater Bay, told Burnham-On-Sea.com
on Monday (June 15th): "It was an amazing feeling to win
for a third year - it was a great atmosphere."
Delighted
step father Steve Cox, who himself is a top water skier, having
won the British Championship in 1978, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"I'm very proud of what Toby's done."
"It
was wonderful to watch him on Saturday and it was very special
for him to clinch the championship so close to home in Weston."
Among
those joining in the celebrations this week are Steve Bird, who
frequently helps train Toby, and Darren Kirkland, a former European
water skiing Champion.
