DIY chain denies interest
in former Burnham-On-Sea job centre
Speculation
that DIY chain store Wilkinsons could soon be opening a shop in
Burnham-On-Sea has this week been denied by the firm.
The
company had been rumoured to be considering buying Burnham's former
job centre at the end of the High Street, pictured here.
But
Neil Brooks, a spokesman for the firm, told Burnham-On-Sea.com
on Wednesday: "There are no current plans to open in Burnham-On-Sea."
And
Andy Broom of estate agents Lambert Smith Hampton, which is advertising
the premises, added there had been no approach from the firm.
"I
can confirm that we have had no contact from Wilkinsons regarding
this property," he said.
