Wrinkly Rappers perform at Burnham-On-Sea charity event!
A group of rapping pensioners from Burnham-On-Sea who
are set to appear on ITV's Britain's Got Talent later this
year performed at a charity fundraising event in the town on Sunday
first reported on 'The Wrinkly Rappers' in January
as they headed off to perform in front of VIP judges Simon Cowell,
Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
group, comprising Brenda Brooks (56), Marian Bower (66), Belinda
Marks (46) and Terry Reynolds (65), appeared at the Sue Ryder
shop on Burnham High Street in front of a crowd of around 40 people.
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We had a great reception and performed
our Wrinkly Rap, Grumpy Old Men Rap, and a new rap
called the Whipper Snapper Rapper, which the children joined in
local musicians have been performing at the shop's busking week
in aid of the charity in recent days, including a violinist, guitar
player, and local schoolchildren playing African drums on Saturday.
manager Helen Roberts said: "It's been a very successful
and busy week, bringing lots of people into the shop and boosting
sales. Thanks go to everyone who's supported the event."
