TV's
Wrinkly Rappers back
Burnham-On-Sea
Internet awareness day
A
group of rapping pensioners who are set to appear on ITV's Britain's
Got Talent are supporting an event to encourage Burnham-On-Sea
OAPs to use the Internet.
The
Wrinkly Rappers, pictured, are backing the Burnham Area Youth
Centre's Internet awareness day for older people, which will be
held on May 15th.
The
centre in Cassis Close will be joining in with the nationwide
'It's never too late to go online' day, organised by the government,
to promote the Internet to senior citizens.
The
centre's Mike Lang told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "To help out
with the forward publicity for this event, the 'Wrinkley Rappers'
have paid us a visit."
He
added: "The group includes Snowy, who calls herself a 'right
eBayer' and has just sold her car online; and Tel who enjoys researching
family history online and keeping in touch with friends via the
Internet."
The
BAY Centre will be open from 10am-4pm on May 15th. Burnham-On-Sea.com
first reported on 'The Wrinkly Rappers' in January
as they headed off to perform in front of VIP judges Simon Cowell,
Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
