Highbridge
Youth Club celebrates after bumper charity donation

Members
of Highbridge Youth Club are celebrating this week after receiving
a bumper grant windfall from a Somerset charity.
The
club has received a grant of £2,686 from Somerset Community
Foundation that will enable them to provide a sports worker to
run weekly sports activities and co-ordinate sporting activities
during school holidays.
Somerset
Community Foundation is a local independent charity that raises
funds and awards grants to community projects and voluntary groups
which benefit local people.
PCSO
Gill Bawler, who runs the club, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We
are delighted by this generous grant which will enable us to introduce
improved sports activities. A big thank you goes to Somerset Community
Foundation."
The
Government's Grassroots Grants Scheme has increased the small
grant funding that is available to community and voluntary groups
across Somerset with incomes of less than £30,000 per year.
