Wintry weather postpones closure of A38 near Burnham-On-Sea

A week of roadworks along the busy A38 near Burnham-On-Sea have been postponed due to the wintry weather.

The A38 Bristol Road between Brent Knoll and Burnham was due to be closed each night from November 26th until Friday December 3rd while Somerset Highways carried out resurfacing and other roadwork.

However, the sub-zero temperatures over the last few days have prompted Somerset County Council to postpone the work. Burnham-On-Sea.com

Council spokeswoman Jan Hookings told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The resurfacing work could not go ahead in these temperatures and with the threat of snow, we have decided to postpone the work until after Christmas."
