Man assaulted in late night attack at Burnham-On-Sea petrol station

Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was assaulted in an early morning attack on the forecourt of a Burnham-On-Sea petrol station at the weekend.

Police were called to the Esso petrol station in Love Lane at just after 1.30am on Saturday (March 20th) following the attack, which left the victim with facial injuries.

Police spokeswoman Cath Foster confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Police were called to reports of an assault at 1.39am on Saturday morning."

"There were reports that a man was bleeding from his face and it's believed the offenders headed off towards Oxford Street."

"Police are currently looking at CCTV footage and would appeal for any witnesses to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Police are now hunting three people seen making off after the incident, including two males around 20-years-old – one with no shirt on – and a woman with dark hair and dark coat.
