Burnham-On-Sea’s beach is looking a lot cleaner this week thanks to the work of this group of more than 20 youngsters.

On Monday evening (July 5th), Burnham Scout Group’s Kingfisher Cubs took part in a beach clean as part of their involvement with ‘The Big Tidy Up’ run by the Keep Britain Tidy campaign.

A mound of bin bags full of rubbish and debris was collected during their walk from Berrow Church to Burnham Jetty, led by leader Jo Macgregor.

The youngsters were rewarded for their hard work with a well-deserved ice cream on the town’s seafront at the end of the evening.

‘The Big Tidy Up’ is run by Keep Britain Tidy, a national environmental charity, and has been dubbed England’s biggest ever litter pick.
