Burnham-On-Sea Police reunite stolen bikes with their owners

Ten stolen bicycles that were seized by Burnham-On-Sea police last month went on show on Saturday (January 9th) as officers tried to reunite the bikes with their rightful owners.

The bikes went on display during a special open day held at Burnham Police Station.

At least one bike was returned to its delighted owner, as shown on the right.

PCSO Gill Bawler told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We are really keen to reunite as many bikes with their owners as possible."

"I would also like to take the opportunity to encourage people, especially if you have had a new bike for Christmas, to register it online or get your property marked. If you get your bicycle security marked it dramatically increases the chances of it being returned should it be lost or stolen."

Anyone who gets their bike security marked before the end of January will be entered into a competition to win £150 worth of bicycle accessories.
