Two local charities have this week been given a Christmas financial boost by a group of Burnham-On-Sea bingo players.
Burnham’s Wednesday Bingo Club, which meets weekly in The Princess Theatre, has held a series of raffles and other fundraising events throughout the year.
This week, it handed out £500 each to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Burnham rescue hovercraft charity BARB.
“Our members chose these two charities because they do a super job in helping save lives in our area,” said the group’s Christine Clayton.
