£1,759
lottery boost is 'blooming' great for Highbridge group

Supporters
and members of Highbridge In Bloom are celebrating this week after
learning they have scooped a National Lottery funding grant of
£1,759.
The
money has been awarded by Awards for All, a Lottery grants scheme
which supports small, community-based projects across the UK.
Pam Lyes, one of the group's delighted members, told Burnham-On-Sea.com
the money will be spent on four new planting cauldrons for Alpha
House Gardens.
"It's
wonderful news," she said. "We filled in a long form
and had to explain the community benefits but it was all worth
it. We'll now be able to put on an even more colourful display
of flowers in the gardens this year."
Last
year, the Britain In Bloom judges were impressed when they visited
Highbridge (pictured below) for the first time and the town won
a coveted silver gilt award.
