Burnham-On-Sea
bank gives town charity a welcome boost
Generous
staff at a bank in Burnham-On-Sea have given a local charity a
boost by holding a fundraising walk.
Staff
at the Britannia in College Street have raised over £280
for hovercraft charity BARB by holding a sponsored walk from Burnham
to Berrow and also holding other fundraising events, including
a book sale.
Shop Manageress Teresa Duszynski is pictured handing over a cheque
for £282.57 to hovercraft pilot Dave Bailey to help with
BARB's ongoing costs, one of several donations made by the branch
to the charity over the past year.
Dave
said: "We're very grateful for this donation from the Britannia,
who have put a lot of effort into their fundraising for us - it
is greatly appreciated."
