A man who Burnham police believe is responsible for two burglaries in the area has been arrested following a tip-off by a suspicious local resident.
Peter Davies Smith from Highbridge was arrested on Thursday (May 13th) for an attempted burglary in Burnham-On-Sea and another in Highbridge.
Inspector Roger Tolley from Burnham Police Station told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This is another good result for the local community.”
“Local police work very hard to make sure they arrest those who impact on our communities in a negative way.”
Mr Davies has been bailed to appear at Taunton Dean Magistrates Court on July 8th.
“We need local residents to keep providing us with information. You can either do this by calling or emailing your local police team or calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, they never ask for your name or trace your call.”
