Brent Knoll cello concert raises over £700 for Indian charity

Over £700 was raised for charity when a leading cellist performed a concert in Brent Knoll on Saturday night (May 15th).

Anup Kumar Biswas played at St Michael's Church in front of an audience of more than 60 people.

Anup is well known in music circles, having performed at The Royal Albert Hall, St James’ Palace, Lambeth Palace, Westminster Abbey and even at the Houses of Parliament. He has previously played with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Saturday's concert raised £749 for the Mathieson Music Trust, which seeks to educate deprived children in India.

One of the organisers of Saturday's concert told "We were delighted to have Anup perform here in Brent Knoll and were pleased to raise over £700 for such a good cause."
