Highbridge was briefly brought to a standstill this afternoon (Thursday) after this car accident in the centre of the town.
Queues of traffic built up in Church Street after a car slammed into the back of a truck, as pictured, at around 2.30pm.
“The driver of the car was clearly shaken by the accident but fortunately was not injured,” an eyewitness told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The crash caused traffic problems for motorists passing through the town centre while Somerset Highways cleared up a large oil spill left by the vehicle.
