A leading Welsh choir is to perform a concert in Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Threatre next month.

Telgarth Male Choir will be belting out a range of stirring songs on Saturday 18th September in aid of Sue Ryder Care.

Formed in 1969, Talgarth Choir has been entertaining audiences for nearly 40 years.

Hundreds of concerts have been given throughout the country, including at the Royal Albert Hall on five occasions, twice at the Millennium Stadium as part of the World Choir, and three times in the Festival of Remembrance concert at St David’s Hall, Cardiff.

The choir’s line-up includes traditional Welsh Hymns, songs from the shows, classics, traditional folk songs and songs from overseas.

Tickets, costing £7.50 each, are available from the Sue Ryder shop in Burnham High Street shop or by calling 01278 786394 or direct from Shelia Stone on 01278 782167.

“This has been the idea of one of our supporters, Shelia Stone, who has spent a great deal of time working with many people to organise the event,” Burnham’s Sue Ryder Care shop manager Helen Roberts told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
