The winners of Burnham and Highbridge’s annual Christmas lights competition were announced on Tuesday (December 21st).

Town councillors Ken Smout and Phoebe Harling visited the best displays in the two towns before choosing the winners.

In Burnham-On-Sea, the best individual house award goes to Keith Mitchell of 20 Winchester Road, while the runner-up is Ms Cornish of 40 Love Lane. The award for the best group of illuminated houses goes to 2 and 3 Trinity Close.

In Highbridge, the Best Individual House award goes to Sandy Prowton of 65 North Avenue while the runner-up is Sharon Bowcott of 25 Smith Way. And the best group of houses was won by 75 and 76 Church Street.

The best business entries are Secret World Wildlife Rescue in Victoria Street, Burnham and the runner-up is Hair Craft of 13 Regent Street.

The prizes will be given to the winners in the New Year.
