We won't be beaten by weather, vow Berrow footpath protesters

Heavy rain failed to stop a protest march in Berrow on Saturday morning (October 23rd) as villagers stepped up their calls for a new footpath to be introduced along Coast Road.

The protest, organised by Berrow's Local Action Team, was the latest in a series of marches to be held this year to put pressure on the County Council to build a new footpath along the busy road.

But poor weather depleted the numbers and just over a dozen villagers donned umbrellas and waterproofs to take part.

Organiser Ken May, Chairman of Berrow's Local Action Team, told "We are very grateful to those who turned out in what were very poor weather conditions. The march was successful in further raising the profile of our campaign to get a footpath introduced."
