man charged after police raid uncovers heroin
42-year-old unemployed man from Burnham-On-Sea was charged with
two offences of possession of Class A drugs on Monday (March 8th)
following a successful police drugs raid.
Edward Cartwright was bailed to appear at Sedgemoor Magistrates
Court on 30th March.
follows a police operation targeting drug dealers as part of an
ongoing crackdown on drug dealing in our area.
following the seizure of heroin from him at an address in Burnham-On-Sea,
where he was searched. Heroin with an estimated street value of
£300 was recovered.
officer in charge of the case, PC Ryan Dinham, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"We have listened to what the public wants and have taken
positive steps to tackle drug dealing."

36-year-old unemployed man from Highbridge is currently on police
bail following a separate Class A drugs seizure in Abingdon Street
in Burnham. Heroin with an estimated street value of £600
was found on 23rd February and the man was arrested. He
was released on police bail to return on 20th April for the drugs
to be analysed.
