A 51-year old man was arrested following the seizure of hundreds of pounds worth of drugs this morning (Friday, July 9th).

Cannabis with a street value of over £240 was removed from a property in Church Street during the raid at 9.30am.

Sgt Ian Kennett told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “He was charged with possession of cannabis and will appear at Sedgemoor Magistrates Court on 29th July.”

“A search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act was executed at his address following intelligence received from within the community and is part of the ongoing fight against drugs that the community has raised through the PACT meetings.”

The activity was led by Highbridge’s police team and was supported by officers from Burnham-On-Sea and one from Bridgwater.
