Police carry out two drugs raids in West Huntspill

A small quantity of suspected cannabis was seized during two night-time drugs raids at Ringstone in West Huntspill over the weekend.

The police operations were launched after members of the public came forward with concerns about drug use.

Local police officer PC Pete Wills led the raids, which included the use of a police search dog.

Several items were seized, including suspected cannabis.

PC Wills told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "This was an excellent example of the local community getting together to stamp out drug use now and for the future of their children."

"We will follow up on information received from the public and operations like this show the bonds that are being built in the community. I have received more information about people and premises - please keep it coming in."
