Burnham-On-Sea gallery showcases work of local artists

-

An art and photography exhibition by two local artists has opened in Burnham-On-Sea this week.

Graham McPherson and Wendy Asplin, pictured, are displaying paintings, photoart and photography at Seabreeze Gallery in Victoria Street – their second exhibition together.

The majority of Graham’s pictures are exhibited in his ‘trademark’ driftwood frames, which he makes himself. He creates inspirational images of the local area, in which he tries “to produce emotional responses and a sense of wonder.”

Wendy, a local born artist, has a passion for photography, painting and digital art and is inspired by the beauty of Somerset.

She enjoys using a variety of different media, including experimenting with her images using her computer, producing dynamic colourful digital works of art.

This free entry exhibition, with exhibits available to purchase, is now open and runs until Saturday 29th May.

Seabreeze is located opposite the Ritz Cinema in Victoria Street. Opening hours are 10.00am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday, except Wednesday (early closing at 2.00pm) with Saturday 10.00am until 5.00pm.
