George Sampson, the winner of the 2008 Britain’s Got Talent TV series, met up with a Burnham-On-Sea teenager at the weekend, fulfilling a promise made earlier in the year.

The dancer was originally due to attend Amy Stacey’s sixteenth birthday party in Burnham last January after her mother booked him, but heavy snowfall meant he was forced to cancel at the last minute.

However, George did not forget letting Amy down – and met her backstage at the end of his peformance at Butlins in Minehead on Saturday (May 29th).

Amy’s mother, Karen, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a great night on Saturday. George spent about 20 minutes with Amy, taking pictures and chatting. Everything was brilliant – we were made to feel really special.”

“George’s agent at the Music Industry Group arranged for us to meet him because he could not make the party in Burnham earlier this year.”

Amy’s party, which was held at Burnham’s Lakeside Holiday Park, followed the theme of MTV’s Super Sweet Sixteen Party.
