Get Online Week event to be held in Burnham-On-Sea
A special event aimed at encouraging more people to use the Internet is to be held in Burnham-On-Sea.
National Get Online Week takes place between October 18th and 24th, with the intention of encouraging latecomers to the Web to get online.
The Burnham Area Youth Centre in Cassis Close will be throwing open its doors to the public on Friday 22nd October between 10.30am and 4pm to offer advice and tips on how to the use the Internet.
Mike Lang, volunteer UKonline centre manager at the BAY Centre, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Our volunteers at the centre are really excited and preparing for a busy, fun day introducing people to computers and the Internet. If you’ve never used computers before, or if you’re just not too sure about them, Get Online Week really is a great time them give them a go."
