Residents
bid a fond farewell to popular Highbridge PCSO Gill
Highbridge
has bid a fond farewell to a popular PCSO, who is moving to another
job this week.
Gill
Bawler, pictured here on the right, has been a familiar face about
Highbridge in her role as a PCSO for five years.
She
is moving to Somerset County Council shortly to take on a new
community role.
Dozens
of colleagues flocked to the Huntspill Arms on Friday evening
to give her a send-off.
Gill
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I will greatly miss the job and
everyone in the town. It has been a fantastic five years."
Earlier
this year, she was named 'PCSO Of The Year' for Somerset West
in the annual Community Policing Awards, as we first reported
earlier this year.
Gill was also instrumental in setting up the successful Highbridge
Dreamscheme and has also spent many years working with Highbridge
Youth Club on the town's Morland estate.
