Town Mayor thanks former Highbridge PCSO for her ‘valuable work’

-

Burnham and Highbridge’s Mayor has this week thanked former PCSO Gill Bawler for her “valuable work” in the two towns as she moves on to a new job.

Gill was presented with a bouquet of flowers on behalf of the town council by Mayor Michael Clarke during the monthly council meeting held on Monday (June 7th).

Michael said: “We are presenting this bouquet as a token of our thanks for your valuable work in Highbridge over the last few years – it is greatly appreciated by us all.”

Gill was a Highbridge PCSO for five years and was named ‘PCSO Of The Year’ for Somerset West in the annual Community Policing Awards.

She was instrumental in setting up the highly successful Highbridge Dreamscheme and spent several years working with Highbridge Youth Club.

Gill started a new job last week, working with Somerset County Council as a Project Officer on its Somerset Total Place Programme.
