Garden centre’s singing goose raises a song for charity!

-

A singing goose has helped to raise more than £400 for a childrens’ charity while in residence at a Brent Knoll garden centre.

Gilbert the Goose, a talking interactive display, has been entertaining visitors to Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll during the past few months to raise funds for kids charity Greenfingers.

General Manager, Peter Burks, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Gilbert is a special kind of feathered friend and the world’s only talking and singing goose. He always puts on a great show for the public and we are delighted that he has been able to raise £405 for Greenfingers, which is our national Charity of the Year.”

“He has been a massive hit with young and old alike when he has appeared at the garden centre in recent months. While Gilbert entertained visitors we invited them to make a donation to the charity. This money will go towards helping children in hospices around the country.”

Greenfingers is dedicated to creating magical gardens at children’s hospices across the UK. It creates a variety of different gardens at the hospices according to their individual requirements. The gardens are designed to help the children and their families and friends during a very emotional and difficult time.
