70s film fans flock to Burnham-On-Sea cinema for charity fundraiser

-

Fans of the 1970s musical smash hit film Grease headed to Burnham-On-Sea’s Ritz Cinema on Monday night (May 17th) when a special funraising theme night was held.

Burnham fundraisers Keith and Jane Mitchell from Winchester Road organised the special film night to raise funds for Scope, a national charity that helps people with cerebral palsy.

“A fun evening was had by all with plenty of singing and dancing in the aisles!” Jane told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Over £100 was raised on the night and we thank the cinema’s owners, Pat and Beryl Scott for hosting the event. It was a great night.”

Keith, who made national headlines last year when he lost 15 stones in 15 months, has recently completed a trek across the Brecon Beacons and a 36 mile hike from Minehead to Combe Martin as he trains to climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, this October.
