Fans of the 1970s musical smash hit film Grease will be heading to Burnham-On-Se’s Ritz Cinema next month when a special theme night is held.

Burnham fundraiser Keith Mitchell from Winchester Road is organising the Grease film night on May 17th to raise funds for Scope, a national charity that helps people with cerebral palsy.

The classic movie Grease will be screened at 5.45pm and the proceds from the tickets, which cost £5, will go towards the charity.

“It promises to be a really fun night for a good cause,” Keith told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Tickets have gone on sale at Sew & Sew in Cross Street and at the Ritz Cinema in Victoria Street.

There will also be a prize for the best dressed male or female who turns up in Grease-themed fancy dress.

As first reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com last year, Keith is in training to climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa this October.

Keith, who made national headlines last year when he lost 15 stones in 15 months, has recently completed a trek across the Brecon Beacons and a 36 mile hike from Minehead to Combe Martin as he training campaign steps up a gear.

He is now planning a visit to Snowdon during the next couple of weeks, which will be followed by a clamber up Ben Nevis later in the year.
