High-flying Burnham youngster is bouncing her way to the top

-

A Burnham-On-Sea youngster has an extra spring in her step this week after winning a regional trampolining competition.

Hannah Bird, 11, competed in the South West Regional Grading Competition on Sunday (May 30th) and came away with a trophy after clinching first place.

Hannah, who is a member of Cheddar’s High Flyers Trampoline Club, was delighted to scoop first place in the double mini trampoline finals in her age group and now has her sights set on competing in the national finals this autumn.

Proud parents Steve and Cathy travelled to Bath to watch Hannah compete and Cathy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “She did really well this weekend and we’ve all now got our fingers crossed that she can reach the nationals this autum. She’s very excited about it and wants to train hard over the summer.”

Hannah, pictured above, also finished 11th in the trampoling competition in her age group and just missed out on reaching the national finals by half a point. See online video of Hannah competing here and more about High Flyers here.
