Man, 27, arrested after helicopter search over Burnham-On-Sea

Police launched a helicopter to search for a suspect following an alleged assault in Burnham-On-Sea on Wednesday morning (October 6th).

A 27 year-old man fled from officers after the alleged assault took place at Burnham Holiday Village, prompting the airbourne search at 11.25am.

Police spokesman Simon Whitby told "Police were called to a report of a domestic incident. Officers talked to the man, who fled the scene."

"The helicopter was launched to assist in the search. He was later found and then arrested and questioned on suspicion of assault."
