Residents in Highbridge have this week been urged to back the town’s bid to win this year’s South West Britain In Bloom competition.

Organisers from Highbridge in Bloom are inviting businesses and residents to enter their gardens, hanging baskets and shopfronts into the local competition – in which a range of trophies are up for grabs.

“Entry is completely free and forms are now avaliable from the Highbridge Asda police pod and the library in Market Street,” organiser Bill Fisher told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

This year’s entry will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Organisers are also keen to hear from any local businesses who would like to sponsor a trophy for the event.

The team behind Highbridge in Bloom will also be holding a fundraising coffee morning on Saturday June 19th at Southwell House in the town from 10am-12 noon when all will be welcome.
