Have your say on Hinkley Point plans in Burnham-On-Sea

Residents in Burnham-On-Sea will get a chance to make their views known about plans to build a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point.

EDF Energy has announced that an extra event as part of its Stage 2 public consultation will be held in Burnham next week.

Representatives of the energy company will be on hand to provide information and answer questions on 19th August at an exhibition in Pier Street car park from 10am to 4pm.

David Eccles, head of EDF Energy's Bridgwater office, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We have been very encouraged by the response to our consultation so far, and are making every effort to capture views from a wide range of local stakeholders."

"I hope that local residents will take a few moments to let us know what they think of our proposals, such feedback is invaluable in helping shape our plans."
