Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Jingle Run, which was due to take place on Sunday morning (December 19th), has been postponed due to the wintry weather.

The event, pictured here last year, has been rearranged by the organisers from Burnham Swim and Sports Academy until Sunday 2nd January.

Organiser Mark Cox Conklin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The extreme weather has created very slippery conditions on the beach and seafront, so to ensure the runners’ safety, we have taken the decision to hold it in the New Year instead.”

“Keep those Santa outfits and jingle bells at the ready and prepare to burn off the Christmas excesses on January 2nd!”

He added that the rescheduled event will take place over the same distances – 1 mile and 4 miles – with prizes and giveaways for the participants.
