Sighting of suspected distress flare sparks lifeboats launch

Burnham-On-Sea's lifeboats were launched to investigate the sighting of a possible distress flare in the Bristol Channel on Wednesday evening (October 20th).

Coastguards spotted a red flare in the night sky towards Watchet at 7.45pm, prompting the launch of lifeboats from Burnham.
