Christmas fayre in Burnham-On-Sea raises cash for lifeboats

Hundreds of pounds was raised for Burnham-On-Sea's lifeboats during a festive fayre on Saturday morning (December 11th).

The Christmas Fayre was held at Burnham Methodist Church and included games, a raffle, a white elephant stall, plants and decorations.

Local fundraising treasurer Jan Pearce said: "We are grateful for the support from Burnham Methodist church. Nothing was too much trouble, and they also donated profit from their coffee morning catering to our fundraising event."

Fundraisers are now preparing for the charity’s national SOS fundraising event on Friday 28th January 2011.
