Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club gives youngsters a financial boost

Five youngsters from Burnham-On-Sea have this week been handed financial boosts by the town's Lions Club.

This year's Carnival Queen Anna Kevan and her two Princesses, Katrina Doyle and Agatha Parrott, were presented with their prizes and certificates during a ceremony held at the Oak Tree Arena on Wednesday night (September 1st). Burnham Lions Club organised the competition to find the new carnival queen and princesses earlier this summer.

Separately, the Lions Club also made donations to Burnham Explorer Scouts Emily Burland and Rebecca Roseff, who each received £100 towards their costs of attending the World Scout Jamboree. Each is raising money to attend the event in Sweden next year.
