Folk music concert hailed a success despite clash with World Cup

Folk music enthusiasts flocked to Burnham's Princess theatre on Saturday (June 12th) for an evening of entertainment from renowned folk band Magenta.

On an evening when the town's pubs were full to overflowing with World Cup fans, a crowd of spectators still turned out to support the event.

The audience sat at cabaret style tables, with waiter service supplied by the Gateway Club committee and Burnham Moose International volunteers.

The event of this event are Burnham’s own Gateway Club and locally based Moose Charities.

Event organiser and Past Moose Governor Terry Cornelius told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was certainly an enlightening experience to organise an event of this magnitude and quality. We were wined, dined, and entertained at the highest level available."
