Busy road junction re-opened after two vehicle accident in Mark

Police, ambulance and fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea were called to the village of Mark on Saturday evening (June 12th) after a two-vehicle accident at a busy road junction.

A van collided with a car at the junction of Harp Lane and the Mark Causeway at 7.35pm, leaving the road partially blocked.

Emergency services were quick to arrive on scene after initial concerns that one occupant was trapped, however they found none of the people in the vehicles was seriously injured.

The silver van had ploughed into a wall after colliding with the blue Volkswagen, as pictured here, leaving both vehicles damaged.

Police directed traffic around the scene and had fully cleared the road by 8.15pm, allowing it to re-open.
