A three day Festival Of Marriage was held at a Burnham-On-Sea church ocer the Bank Holiday weekend.
St Andrew’s Church hosted the one-off event, where wedding dresses, cakes and floral displays were on show.
“We had a super collection of dresses from down the ages, plus displays of wedding flowers and photographs, plus music from the church choir and music group,” Caroline Norman, who is one of the organisers on the church’s fundraising and social committee, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Among the items was a 1931 wedding dress, which was in excellent condition.”
On Sunday evening, a service was held where married members of the congregation were invited to renew their wedding vows. The event began on Saturday May 29th and ran through until the end of Bank Holiday Monday.
