In photos: Euro MP makes special visit to Berrow Brownies

A member of the European Parliament who represents the Burnham-On-Sea area made a special visit on Thursday evening (May 13th).

Julie Girling, Conservative MEP for the South West of England, spent the evening with Berrow Guides and Brownies at St Mary's Church Hall, as pictured.

Victoria Simmons, a Berrow Brownies leader, told "Julie explained her work in Europe and gave the Brownies and Guides an interesting insight into the life of a politician. It was an enjoyable visit."

Mrs Girling, who is herself a former Brownie, said: "It was the first time I've been back to Brownies for over 40 years! I was very impressed with what I saw - it's a lot more fun now than all those years ago and I'm happy to give my support to the movement."
