called to mudflats scare on Brean beach
Coastguards were called to Brean beach on Monday afternoon (August
23rd) amid concern for the welfare of two children.
A beach warden raised the alarm at 3.30pm after two boys were
seen struggling in mud several hundred metres from the beach.
A Burnham Coastguard spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "A
team of Coastguards from Burnham was sent to investigate and found
two boys, aged 11 and 14, safely making their own way up the beach
on our arrival."
