Pupils complete colourful new mural on Burnham seafront

-

A group of 30 youngsters added a splash of colour to Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront on Thursday (July 8th).

A brand new mural was introduced on the walls outside Burnham-On-Sea Sailing Club on the South Esplanade as part of the events leading up to next week’s Birds And Beasts Art Festival, as pictured here.

The mural painting was overseen by members of Highbridge and Burnham Artists and organiser Cora Stock told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the event had been a success.

“As part of our aim to involve the community in making art, the students from Weare Junior School had fun in painting another wall outside the Sailing Club.”

The new mural includes scenes of landmarks around Burnham, including the town’s lighthouse.

The Birds And Beasts Art Festival will be held in Highbridge’s Apex Park on Friday 26th July, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July from 10am – 4.30pm daily.
