Mayor opens Burnham nursery's new outdoor learning facilities

Burnham-On-Sea's Mayor was the special guest at the opening of a new outside learning environment at a nursery in the town this week.

The Fair Start Nursery recently received a grant from Sure Start and Somerset County Council towards the costs of creating the new facilities.

Mayor Derek Cooper visited the nursery on Tuesday (April 20th) when he officially opened the new facilities.

The nursery's Nicola Larkman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We have used the grant to upgrade our garden equipment and buildings and were delighted that the garden was officially opened today by the Mayor."

The nursery provides education and care for children aged between 2-4. There are a few places left for this term and bookings are now being taken for September.
