Crowds flock to Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Party In The Park

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s season of free outdoor music events kicked off on Sunday (May 9th) with the town’s annual Party In The Park.

The Manor Gardens were alive with five hours of entertainment and music featuring Burnham’s Ginger Hitlas, The Fallen Apples, Matt Wescott and Nicky Swann.

There was also a bouncy castle, sumo wrestlers, hair-braiding and face painting plus a real ale, cider and wine bar.

Organiser Mike Murphy from CADS (the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society) told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a cold afternoon at times, but everyone who came enjoyed themselves and had a fantastic afternoon’s entertainment. We sold out of drink at the bar – it was that popular!”

The season continues on Sunday June 13th with Jazz in the Park and will be followed by Picnic In the Park on Sunday July 11th. CADS holds several free events a year for the benefit of people in both towns.
