Burnham-On-Sea police urge vigilance after two thefts

Police in Burnham-On-Sea issued a warning to residents on Saturday (March 6th) to be extra vigilant after an opportunist thief struck twice in 24 hours.

Police are investigating two incidents in Stoddens Lane where a burglar entered insecure properties on Friday evening (March 5th) and Saturday morning, taking a handbag and other valuables.

Inspector Roger Tolley told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Saturday: “We would urge people to be extra vigilant and check that their doors and windows are locked.”

He added: “We are stepping up patrols in the area as our investigations continue.”
